Looville Well. It certainly was a fun-filled week! Tom and I arrived a day before TJ, Alisha (TJ’s signo) and Norma Jean who opted to drive down with bikes in tow, and were greeted with sunshine, warmth and that delightful KY accent. Trying to stretch our legs, we walked down to the waterfront [...] Sunday dawned clear and the promise of hot hot heat … a perfect training opp as we headed bright’n’early to the Valley. Too bad I’d had a crappy sleep, bumping my hip hematoma twice in the night – a jarring painful, take-my-breath-away experience. Got to the race site in plenty of time but forgot [...] so. bike racing. kind of the antithesis of a triathlete. however i grew up as a bike racer. running and swimming, not really my thang. but in fact, i started triathlon as 1) a way to cross train, biking was just too much 2) the tri group is much less anal retentive. but having [...] So a few weeks ago, coach mentioned that I should do a race soon, to see where I am with my training. I was going to do the Winterman race 10km next weekend, but $45 for a 10k race seemed a little steep. So Cliff mentioned that his Hammertime Coach, Rick, was putting on [...]  |
