Law of the Present Moment

There are not many athletes who can honestly say that their performance is never affected by mental or psychological factors.  Almost everyone who competes or attempts to do their best at some important aspect of life has experienced both mental boosts and hindrances.  Doubts, confidence, anxiety, poise, courage and fears for example can have a [...]

2009 Ain’t Over Yet…

If you follow this site, you’d think that New Years was in August! everyone is talking about the end, or being finished or I’m glad that’s over! Yes it was quite the month with Mom, TJ and Amanda finishing off their training years with their “A” races.

I was lucky enough to [...]

Back 2 Back…

After a weekend of racing, I’ve given my body sometime to recover.  As you’ve probably read from the previous posts, I had a decent outing at the races(except my swimming!).  I’ve heard my name mentioned as the “new guy” but also in the same sentence “who can’t swim”.

Evan Pemberton finishing [...]

Today Amanda and I traveled to Barry’s Bay for our second triathlon of the season.  This race was a 750 swim, 33K bike and a 8K run.

It was an early morning for the both of us as we left the house at 5:30am for the 2 hour drive.  The race site reminded both of us [...]

LMS Athletes Podium On The Weekend

What was described as one of the toughest races ever by both Amanda Lohnes and Cliff Worden-Rogers, it was all they could do to finish the tough 5peaks race at Tremblant on Saturday.  Both athletes put in a great effort, Amanda finishing 2nd (woman) and Cliff finishing 3rd (overall).

The course had very little description besides 230m of [...]

Donations Wanted!

May 2-4 weekend, myself (Cliff Worden-Rogers) and my blood brother (TJ Worden-Rogers) are going to be riding/running to help end hunger in Ottawa.  We will be competing on a team called “Bytown 171″.  This team will be riding 100K then running in the 10K on Saturday, then waking up and doing another 40K ride following [...]
