With the Olympics just getting under way and most likely dominating our LiveMultiSport awards (and our lives for that matter) for the next couple weeks, this week’s award goes to one of our Canadian athletes. This specific athlete is a NB native who won her first World Cup race recently! Great job Catherine, good luck in [...] After a week of “Tour de France hangover” the world still kept turning. People kept working and athletes kept racing. This weeks winner almost didn’t come on my radar; this pretty much summing up her career thus far. Chrissie Wellington was a surprise winner of the 2007 Ironman World Championships in Kona. No one picked [...] Here at the LMS headquarters, we watched the Tour wondering who might emerge as this years winner. We made lots of bold predictions, none coming true. At points during the race it looked like underdogs like Kim Kirchen and Stephan Schmacher could steal the show. Really though it came down to one rider and one [...] With a jam packed week of couch surfing, us fans had a lot to cheer about… or did we? In golf Greg Norman looked to pull off one of the greatest (or oldest) results at the British Open, only to kiss that dream good-bye shooting 8 bogies on the final day. Tour de [...] Even though this may not be the most ethical thing to do, I am going to give this week’s award to our very own Cliff Worden-Rogers! If you haven’t been following along, Cliff raced his 2nd half-ironman this Sunday at the Ironman Rhode Island 70.3. His first was the Ironman California 70.3, this March in [...] I hate to argue with both of those two previous nominees for the LMS Award, but I’ve got to mention one more. And, it’s not a single athlete, but two! These two rivals battled each other, the impending darkness, and spurts of rain in one of the greatest single sporting events of our time.
