Being a gear guy, you may have assumed my wish list would be nothing but bike gear. Alas, it won’t be. There will be some gear, but not “a lot.” 260$ CDN: Stylish euro eye wear. Perhaps the biggest investment, and therefore most important Christmas gift is a good pair of specks. I highly recommend Oakley’s [...] thoughts and reflections. -dealing with stress comes in many forms. chewing nails, pacing, sodomizing paper mache cows -waiting for the race to happen is like waiting for your execution. just bring it on already! -swimming, biking and running the days leading up to the race are not going to help your training regime -sandbars the first third of the [...] Awake @ 4am Sleep @ 1am 24 deg Celsius, sun and no cloud 2 bike crashes 3 IV bags (sugar included) TJ –> 3.8k swim, 180k bike, 42k run one helluva an Ironman experience
notice the title. a training weekend. even though it was ottawas biggest running race weekend this was just training pour moi. which is kinda difficult to understand really. why enter a race, and not race? well, it’s cause (i think) you want to be in peak shape, or have planned to race, your “race.” so, [...] so. bike racing. kind of the antithesis of a triathlete. however i grew up as a bike racer. running and swimming, not really my thang. but in fact, i started triathlon as 1) a way to cross train, biking was just too much 2) the tri group is much less anal retentive. but having not [...] summer is here. how do i know you may ask? you can smell it in the air. bugs, buds, and flowers. all possible reasons. but no. see, as cyclists (which we all are) clad in spandex, or shorts, being in wide open spaces, out in the sun, sweating it out, were judged based on our [...] yes. i am back. i typed a post up about, …..mmmmmmm, 2 months ago, in the dead of winter about a great ride i had. i has pictures, and insight about winter riding… and then i accidentally deleted it. i hate it when you research a piece, pictures, cut, pasted and cropped and then one [...] check out this commercial by mitsubishi… what do you think? i think mitsubishi are a bunch of haters. effectively, in my opinion, they’re saying why do these activities, when you can just drive it! no blisters my ass.
