Thats the sound a car should make.

If your interested I’ve decided to repair my subarus engine. Weighing the pros and cons it came out that putting a new engine was a better financial choice. Albeit a pricey one. Here was my thought list.

Pro: Rickey is a reliable car. Killer winter vehicle and everything works.
Con: It’s getting to the high mileage time where more things can go wrong.

Pro: With another engine, the car is worth a lot more.
Con: Another engine could result in other problems.

Pro: I know where my car has been. Another used vehicle could bring a whole host of other problems.
Con: Instead of sinking $4K into an old car, this could be a good down deposit for a new one.

Pro: To trade my car in, I’d have to go through the hastle of registering the vehicle in Ontario.

Pro: They were going to give me $500 towards a new car.

Big Con: Cars are money buckets. But the issue is when your life revolves around so much chaos, knowing that you have the freedom to go when and where you want is hard to lose.

If I can give you any advice about this whole adventure it would be this: fly, it saves the life of your vehicle.

If you hear anything out of the ordinary, get it checked. You could be saving yourself a lot of money down the road.

Always keep a jug of oil nearby (I always do thanks to my first learning experience with a car). If your car is burning more oil than it should, sell it. Don’t think twice, just put the for sale sign up.

Anywho, it’s been a pretty stressful week. I’m hoping everything is going to work out. If not look for a Subaru in the Ottawa River.
