This scared me when I first read this title, because I immediately thought of Cliff and Amanda, who live in Ottawa. Luckily (for us and them) they would have still been in NB at that time, and Cliff and I were actually out for a ride of our own in Fredericton. This is an awful story however, and we sure hope all the riders survive and the driver is punished!
5 cyclists injured in Ottawa hit-and-run

Ottawa police have arrested one person after five cyclists were injured in a hit-and-run collision on Sunday morning near the suburban city of Kanata.
A minivan involved in the collision near the intersection of March Road and Solandt Road shortly has also been recovered.
The driver fled the scene of the collision, which occurred shortly before 8 a.m.
The cyclists were taken to an Ottawa hospital and at least two of them have life-threatening injuries, police said.

Scary for sure…whats more scary is that this ‘anger’ towards bikers in Ottawa seems to be almost a trend that is increasing and when there is a car vs a bike, the car is always going to win. People are just in too much of a rush and don’t want ‘stupid cyclists’ slowing them down on their way to their cushy gov’t job !!
