Aw man, Amanda! Now I want a spiffy girl seat. And I don't even get the sort of pain you're talkin' about. Lest I cross the line on propriety, I found a judicious ...er... trimming really helps keep the ..er.. bits in place. :)

Now I'm on the lookout for shorts that don't feel like a wet diaper after 3+hours in the saddle. Two highly recommended candidates:

Terry Bella Shorts (http://www.terrybicycles.com/product/detail/1835/current/bella-short)

Orca 226 Tri Pant (http://www.orca.com/product/226-tri-pant-female)

I have the last one on order.

On-the-money information for all of us female cyclists. Getting the right kind of bike seat is paramount - mine is a Serfas model and I love it too.

I can totally recommend the women's bike seats. I used to find biking an extremely painful experience and then I bought my first women's bike seat from the Lunenburg Bike Barn. Now I flatly refuse to have a bike without one of these seats!

A well padded pair of bike shorts is also helpful.
