One of my creations actually worked! Well I can’t take a lot of the credit, since I didn’t build it. But I did find a new use for a product!
What the heck am I talking about? An airless gel dispenser of course!
How does it work? Well you’ve probably all used a spray bottle before, spraying water or chemicals. Basically air is pushed out by pressing on the top, this air creates a vaccum that causes the liquid inside the bottle to come out. Most bottles use a tube (like in Windex) that sucks the liquid from the bottom. An airless bottle uses a plunger instead of a tube, thus pushing up the liquid.
An airless bottle has a couple of advantages over a windex type design. The biggest is that there is little to no liquid lost. In athe windex type, you always after unscrew the top to get the last little bit that the hose cannot get.
Another advantage is keeping the tube clean. It’s very easy to wash (machine washable too!).
So what now? Well I’m looking for a way to get a few more. The problem is I have to but at least 5000 which is… a little much at this point. In a perfect world I’d get 5-10 more, make a couple changes and then send them out to all you fine folks to try.
