This weeks “Tech edition” has to do with footwear. Whats hot right now? Whats the best shoe for me? There is never an easy answer as I found out!
My question was proposed to Mike Davis from the Radical Edge in Fredericton, a guru in the sports industry who definitely knows his stuff.
LMS: Thanks Mike for last weeks post, I think the people enjoyed it. This week I’d like for you to talk about sneakers and your opinion on what the right shoe is.
Mike: There is no best sneaker for everyone, we are all different; hence, the number of successful brands on the market. This also makes choosing the right shoe difficult, because of the number out there. Some people can run in anything and have no problems, but most need help choosing the right shoe.
Soo, I believe the best shoe for spring is the one that you have been expertly guided to by a running shoe specialist at your local run specialty shop. Also, highly recommend that you go shopping for this perfect shoe with your last shoe that you ran in with you.
LMS: What shoes does the Radical Edge carry? Can I get free shoes since I use to work there?
Mike: Rugged walking shoes, hiking boots and trail running shoes have been our specialty for 11 years. We believe that happy feet make for happy trails. That is why we take the time with each client to ensure a proper fit. With brands like Merrell, The North Face, Vasque, Asolo and Salomon; we’re confident that we can find the right shoe/boot to meet your outdoor needs.
As our lives got busier, we needed to find some quick fitness fixes. What better way than running! Fitting and an understanding in biomechanics, help us find the right shoe for the right person. New Balance, Saucony and Mizuno, Keen and Timberland guarantee the proper fit for each client’s individual needs.
We also carry quality performance wear such as Sugoi, Mizuno, Louis Garneau, Sierra Designs, Wigwam.
Cliff your always welcome to shop in our store.
LMS: Thanks Mike. I just want my next to free discount, that’s all I ask
As for actual products, surf on over to Runners World. They probably do the best reviews that I’ve seen.

Don’t need shoes? How about quick laces. Here is a product which Simon Whitfield is sponsored by. These are the new quick laces made from XTENEX.
