Wednesday is my long run day. It consists of me running to work and back (almost 10K one-way). Every week that I do this it snows. Not just “Oh it’s so pretty” snow, it’s more like “I’m going to be an hour late getting to work cause there is so much on the road” kinda snow. I’m not trying to sound like I’m complaining, ok maybe just a bit, but it gets tiring after awhile. It wouldn’t be so bad if it was just a dusting but here in Ottawa we get slammed! Every week we get 10-15cms more (today is 20-25!). Combine that with the -30 weather and say good-bye to an early spring!
You know where I was a year ago today? Orlando, Florida where I got a sun burn.
Life isn’t made to be lived inside.

heh. Same here. Only it’s our Wednesday night swim. Goin’ to The Burg and back in sleet and freezing rain. Not as bad as running in it. But still. I’m SO done with winter. Porter has just started a non-stop from Hfx to Cancun. $149./one way. Mexico anyone?!?
I can attest for him…the 3 biggest storms of the year? All on Wednesdays, all of them over 20cm of snow! Talk about nerve wracking…for me! lol
